Darrell Whitehead (Chair 2005 -)
Hi, I'm Darrell, born in January 1983. I graduated in Law from Liverpool John Moores University in 2005. I like listening to cheesy rock music and watching 80s films and sometimes sci-fi movies. I'm interested in technology, the internet and its potential for e-democracy. People I am interested in include Isaiah Berlin, Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, Tom Hodgkinson, Ralph Nader and Lawrence Lessig.
Tom Whelligan-Fell (Founder)
Hi, I'm Tom one of the founding members of the Wirral
LDYS and Chair until October 2005. My main interests involve most sports, in particular
hockey, badminton and footy, I am an avid Everton Fan and am looking forward
to watching Everton win the Premiership in 2005. Hopefully I am going
to be doing History at one of the Northern Unis then do law. As the Chair
it was my job to try and enthuse the members and to initiate ideas among
the group, other than that my role was varied from week to week.
Alexander Clark (Secretary 2004-)
Born down here on the 'sunny' Wirral on the 14.02.87.
My interests to name but a few are swimming, cycling, obviously political
issues effecting us both globally and locally, environmental issues, music
e.g. rock music like Runrig, Manics etc. Playing the drums and clarinet
which I am in bands for. My job in WLDYS includes organising the meetings
and ensuring/hoping everyone turns up. I also form agendas and do all
theother fab things secretaries have to do! My ambitions are to become
a famous drummer and then to become the next PM :)
