You Decide - Councillor urges local people to ‘get involved'. As the first stage of Wirral Council's new ‘You Decide' initiative gets under way, a senior Councillor is urging local people to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Councillor Stuart Kelly , Cabinet Member for Community and Customer Engagement said, “You Decide is about local people making real decisions and making a difference in their own neighbourhoods. “It's about having a say in how Council money is spent. “Local people know best what's needed in their own areas; this is their chance to have their say and improve their local quality of life. “I would urge everyone to get involved in this new project. “Fill in the questionnaires, talk to the researchers who will be out and about in the streets and supermarkets, fill in the online survey on the Wirral Council website. Above all - make your voice heard. “Whether you want an extra street light, more litter bins, a pedestrian refuge, or more activities for young people, we won't know unless you tell us.” Each of Wirral's 11 Area Forums has been allocated £20,000 to spend on extra council services through the ‘You Decide' project.
