Who is Chris Davies MEP?

Chris Davies is the Liberal Democrat MEP for the North West of England.

Born in Lancashire. Grew up in Cheshire. Served as a Councillor on Merseyside, and as an MP in Greater Manchester. A competitive fell runner who, like all fell runners, regards Cumbria as his spiritual home!

Chris has been married since 1979 to Carol Davies, a careers and drama teacher, and former Liverpool City Councillor. One daughter, Kate, born 1991. They live on the Pennine edge of Oldham.
Education:
Chris was educated at Cheadle Hulme School, Stockport, followed by Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge University - (2:1 in History) and two years at the University of Kent at Canterbury

He became acting chairman, then Chairman of the Housing & Building Committee
