Plans progressing for Oxton Road area

It is hoped that funding will shortly be identified to progress the plans for to upgrade the “gateway to Oxton” at the top of Oxton Road.

Cllr Pat Williams, who chairs the steering group for the project, said, “There is keen commitment from local businesses and the owners of the church. A lot has been done to the interiors of some of the shops in Oxton Road already.

“We are now waiting to see what assistance will be given for the co-ordinated improvement of the shop fronts.”
