MORETON WEST AND SAUGHALL MASSIE BY-ELECTION LIBERAL DEMOCRAT CANDIDATE STEVE PITT

Wallasey Liberal Democrats have selected Steve Pitt as their Candidate for the Moreton West and Saughall Massie By-Election to be held on the 26th November 2009.

Steve Pitt lives in Upton with his wife, Lin.

Steve was born in Wallasey in 1956 and was raised in Wirral until joining the Army aged 16. After serving for 15 years, he returned to Wirral and settled in Wallasey. He recently graduated from Liverpool University in 2008 with an MA in Twentieth Century History.

Steve has worked in a variety of roles, including working with adults with autism for the Wirral Autistic Society and as a warehouse manager. He is also a first aid trainer with the British Red Cross.

As well as an interest in both history and politics, Steve enjoys cricket, photography, travel, reading and entertaining his grandchildren.

Speaking about the forthcoming by-election, Steve said, “I am aware of the issues that concern local people in the community of Moreton West and Saughall Massie and would like to ensure that local people have a direct influence on decisions which affect their lives.”
