New Dental Practice for Greasby

A new NHS dental practice will open on Greasby Road on Wednesday 29th July. Liberal Democrat ward councillor, Peter Reisdorf, said, “I am delighted that after nearly two years of waiting, Greasby residents will again have access to an NHS dental practice locally in Greasby at brand new purpose built premises. It took a long time coming and local residents have been very patient, although they regularly made it clear to me and my colleagues that having a local dental surgery was very important to them. We kept in constant touch with the Primary Care Trust to ensure that progress was being made so I am pleased to have been invited to attend the opening ceremony and am looking forward to viewing the new premises and meeting the dentists”

ocal residents were understandably very upset when, nearly eighteen months ago, their local Greasby dentist, Mr Morgan, retired from his dental practice without a replacement. The PCT made it clear that they would be encouraging a new dentist to establish a practice in Greasby and, in the meantime, provided a mobile emergency service at the GP practice but it took a long time to find a site and get the surgery built.
